Managing NDIS Participant Emergency Plans in CareVision

The Aged Care Act of 1997 states that all aged care providers should be able to support a client or resident's quality of care in an emergency event and establish risk management plans that can cover unexpected events such as floods, bushfires, heatwaves, cyclones, etc.

It's a good thing that managing NDIS participants' emergency plans within Carevision is a simple and easy process:

  • Access your NDIS participant's profile and expand the emergency plans section
  • Select Create New Emergency Plan
  • Fill out the title and the date of effectivity
  • If there are any, add important details regarding the NDIS participant's emergency plan within the allotted section.
  • *you may also add files as attachments for support documents for the emergency plan and contacts of the NDIS participant.

An NDIS participant's emergency plan can be managed by care plan managers, coordinators, and intake officers. It is ideal that the plans are always updated when necessary, including when the client requests for it or after a serious or drastic life event.

You can view the coordinator's course on CareVision Academy for more details about managing an NDIS participant's emergency plans within CareVision.
